Here at Highland we live for the beauty and nuance inherant in finely crafted instruments. And being lifelong musicians, we’ve spent our time admiring and playing the world’s greatest guitars only to realize that because we’re musicians, we’d spend the rest of our lives saving up to buy a superior instrument. Not a good situation to say the least. We took it upon ourselves to create a line of luxurient yet affordable guitars and we are proud to offer our fellow players Highland.

After an exhaustive year of R&D, countless sets of strings and several new calluses, we saw the light and found our “way”. The next step in realizing our vision - find a manufacturing partner who could bring our unique designs to life. We knew our partner would require tremendous skill, patience, experience and most importantly, a love of the art. We found our “kindred spirit”, a guitar building sage channeling the wisdom of the ages into flawless finishes, precision necks and soul-warming tone. We found the “Master” and when the Master told us "he had actually found us", we knew we were in business...

We’ve crafted attractive, ergonomic designs which are cost effective to manufacture – in other words, affordable. We are sticklers about tone and playability and we’re building guitars that look as good as they sound. (Some people have said they sound as good as they look! We’ll take that as a compliment). We’ve achieved a level of guitar nirvana we like to call “Acoustic Art”.
